Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of
Human
Resources
Generalist experience required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge/experience of federal and state employment laws and other government compliance regulations.Experience with SAP or other HRIS.Previous supervisory experience. Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues and make recommendations that are consistent with policies, procedures and governmental.
Job Duties:
Day to day duties include: Providing direction to the HR Assistant and acting as a coach to the management team. Counsel, advise and train management on performance-based issues including corrective action plans, terminations, and severance agreements. Investigate employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and recommend appropriate action.Oversee the areas of employment, affirmative action, employee benefits, compensation, performance appraisal programs, personnel record keeping, unemployment claims and employee relations, training, HRIS for the Plant. Manage affirmative action programs including writing, implementing, and providing training to management regarding AA goals. Manage compliance reviews. Develop recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried positions. Interview, select, and hire candidates. Provide employee relations counseling and problem solving for managers and employees to ensure a productive work environment, remaining consistent with company values and policies and in adherence to state and federal regulatory law. This position reports to the Plant Manager and Division HR Director.
