Are you an experienced Sr. Accountant looking for an excellent opportunity with a global company? If so, this position might be for you!
As the Sr. Accountant, you will assist in the creating and modifying of reporting templates for the business units to provide data for financial reporting purposes. You will review, analyze, and interpret financial information to prepare and provide accurate, timely, and complete summations of financial data for the business.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
You will prepare and compile financial statements and packages from data provided by the business units to create complete, timely, and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
You will prepare/modify strategic planning templates for the business unit and then analyze, compile, and create consolidated schedules to assist in this planning process.
You will prepare/modify annual budgeting templates for the business units and then analyze, compile, prepare and consolidate schedules for upper management review.
You will manage and ensure accurate account reconciliations based upon the scope of responsibilities.
You will assist in the integration of new acquisitions into the financial reporting requirements to ensure accurate and timely consolidated reporting.You will provide guidance to business unit controllers and other corporate accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required based on the scope of the position.
Experience: 4+ years of progressive accounting and financial package experience required.
Certifications: MBA or CPA preferred but not required
Functional Skills: Experience working with various currencies; very detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills required; comfortable working with large amounts of data and financial packages for multiple business units globally; excellent planning, time management, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills required to meet the core functions of the role.
Technology Skills: Strong technical aptitude; proficient/advanced experience with Excel (pivot tables, graphs, V-Lookups, etc.); previous experience with ERP systems required; experience with AS400 or JD Edwards preferred but will train; experience with reporting software add-ins would also be helpful in this position.
Leadership/ Behaviors: Excellent flexibility; ability to multi-task and move efficiently from one project to the next is critical in the role.
