Responsibilities
Payroll Manager opportunity based in Boca, FL

Manage staff in the production of monthly, semi-monthly, and biweekly payroll to ensure the accurate, timely distribution of all payroll deliverables in an expanding multi-state environment. Provide direction and mentoring to payroll staff to ensure redundant capacity exists for all business processes. Responsible for acquisition integration efforts, payroll tax compliance and reporting, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other internal controls, timekeeping administration, and delivery of ad hoc reporting requests.
 
  • Supervise and mentor the Corporate Payroll staff
  • Monitor and participate in payroll production procedures including:
    • Timely accumulation of information to process payroll
    • Opening and loading batches for in-house payroll processing
    • Reviewing pay and equity vesting calculations for accuracy
    • Transmission of direct deposit and print check files to 3rd party vendors
  • Perform various payroll-related reconciliations and analysis to ensure accurate employee payments
  • Communication of cash needs to Treasury
  • Verification of timely payroll tax and regulatory payments and filings
  • Provide timely resolution of payroll concerns raised by employee customers
  • Engage and supervise Software to resolve payroll processing issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and oversee implementation of such initiatives
  • Work with all levels of management, as required
  • Prepare and present actionable data to members of management team
  • Partner with integration teams and lead payroll integration of newly acquired business units
  • Perform multi-state tax analysis
  • Communicate with government and regulatory bodies to timely resolve audit and payroll related inquiries
  • Lead the development and implementation of customer service initiatives for the department
  • Provide effective coverage for Senior Manager of Payroll in all areas, to include meetings with management and ad hoc reporting
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
4 year Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field
 
Experience:
Required: 4 years’ experience supervising payroll 
 
Skills Required:
High level of knowledge in MS Excel, Good knowledge of Word, Access and Windows
Ability to create and run ad hoc reports
Detail oriented and highly organized
