Manager, Payroll & Benefits Administration -- Middlebury, IN -- $85-100,000 plus excellent benefits -- relocation assistance
The Manager of Payroll & Benefits provides leadership and guidance to ensure accuracy and timely payroll process and perform auditing related tasks. The role is responsible for the administration of employee benefits in all company operations, along with developing, recommending, and installing approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises the administration of existing plans. The position monitors and analyzes payroll data to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws, along with ensuring compliance with all applicable Sarbanes Oxley and IT security access requirements, which includes completing weekly audits to guarantee compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities of Manager, Payroll & Benefits Administration:
Provide oversight and leadership to all payroll, HRIS, and benefits staff members.
Audit and verify all payroll processes. This is a 3500-4000 person manufacturing plant.
Ensure smooth operation of Time/Labor system and time clocks across all locations.
Ensure the administration of employee benefit programs such as: retirement plans, basic hospital and medical plans, term life insurance plans, temporary disability, and accidental death policies.
Counsel employees regarding a variety of personnel and benefit issues including: payroll, taxes, garnishments, 401k, etc.
Assure that existing and new benefits programs are adaptable to standardized computer and reporting systems, along with, developing benefit information and statistical and census data for actuaries, insurance carriers, and management.
Qualifications for the Manager, Payroll & Benefits Administration:
• 8 - 10 years of related experience and knowledge equivalent to a complete college education. Capable of administration of a 4000 person payroll and benefits.
• The candidate must be knowledgeable of pertinent federal and state laws/regulations (i.e., tax laws, social security, wage and hour, HIPPA, COBRA, 401k, etc.). This roles requires leadership skills, effective communication skills, and excellent computer skills.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.
Compensation for the Manager, Payroll & Benefits Administration
$85-100,000 plus excellent benefits
