You must have an HR background in a Manufacturing Environment and be a part of their safety program as a leader for this role.
As the HR Safety Manager you will be counted on to maintain and enhance the organization's human resources, and safety by planning, implementing and evaluating policies, programs, and practices.
Key functions of this role:
You maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for hourly positions
You are expected to identify staff vacancies and work with managers on candidate selections
You provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
You are the lead person handling difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, managing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
The HR Safety Manager plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
The Human Resources Safety Manager serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
You plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, and employee relations
You are counted on to maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates
The HR Safety Manager conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination
The HR Safety Manager ensures Human Resource and safety operations comply with Federal, Stat, and accrediting agencies.
You are the lead that inspects facilities, machinery, equipment, and personnel practices to identify potential safety and health concerns and hazards.
We count on you to serve as emergency coordinator and maintains 24-hour response fo the corporation.
You manage the investigation and required documentation of incidents and work-related injuries and illnesses.
Background and experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
Five (5) years of previous experience in an HR/Safety role in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Arkansas HR/Safety law is important
