Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking an HR Manager for our Grand Rapids based manufacturing client. This candidate will help develop and manage programs for employee recruitment, selection, training and development and other programs as needed to ensure proper staffing of all positions within the facility.
Provide assistance to other Generalists with employee questions and resolving any benefits or policy issues.
Develop and process EEO/AAP reports, disciplinary summary reports, turnover analysis, and analyze other metrics using HRIS systems.
Execute effective sourcing strategies by recruiting, interviewing, processing, conducting orientation and training.
Evaluate and analyze site compliance to policies.
Provide support in addressing issues with interpreting, training and applying company policies, programs and benefits.
Track key performance indicators, such as attendance, disciplinary warnings, turnover and FMLA usage.
Assist employees whom have work-related injuries to find work within their limitations.
Handle and maintain working relationship with State Agencies, such as Unemployment and Worker’s Compensation commissions
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required. Graduate degree a plus.
5+ years of experience in the Human Resources function required.
Experience in a union manufacturing environment required, preferably UAW grievances experience.
